with Studio & Projects

The exhibition, Spotlight One, was the inaugural showcase from Black Folks in Design, an organization that networks Black designers across various disciplines and artistic practices.

Hosted at Ace Hotel Brooklyn, we showcased six contemporary Black designers and seven works during NYCxDesign Week. A great display of talent include the work of Garth Roberts, Kyle Scott Lee, Lisa Hunt, Luam Maleke, Studio ANANSI and Studio & Projects.

In addition to co-curating and designing the exhibition, Studio Senjeh founder Rachael Louise Elliott co-led the design of the OKRA rug as well as providing design for a tote bag and show poster.
